Neonatal Resuscitation Program® (NRP®)

The NRP Provider Course introduces the concepts and basic skills of neonatal resuscitation. It is designed for health care professionals involved in neonatal resuscitation, including physicians, nurses, advanced practice nurses, nurse midwives, licensed midwives, respiratory care practitioners, and other health care professionals who provide direct care during neonatal resuscitation.

Steps to achieving provider status are listed below. In addition, you can view videos to help you get started in the new NRP Learning Platform on the NRP 8th edition Updates page and to help you enroll in the NRP Provider Curriculum.

The Neonatal Resuscitation Program® (NRP®) course conveys an evidence-based approach to care of the newborn at birth and facilitates effective team-based care for healthcare professionals who care for newborns at the time of delivery. NRP utilizes a blended learning approach, which includes online testing and hands-on case-based simulation/debriefing that focus on critical leadership, communication, and team-work skills.

All students whether you have taken NRP or not will need to have an account created on the NRP Learning Platform.

Students must decided through their work whether they are required to take the Essentials or the Advanced Part 1.

All students must Complete all the online components of the program, including the Essentials Online Learning Assessment and the Advanced Online Learning Assessment. These online components will assess and verify your foundational knowledge of the Neonatal Resuscitation Program Advanced Provider curriculum.

NRP Advanced (Lessons 1-11)

Describe the physiologic changes that occur when the fetus makes the transition to extrauterine life.
State the steps to take when anticipating and preparing for the birth of a newborn.
Describe the initial steps of newborn care, including indicators for care at the radiant warmer including oxygen management and indications for CPAP.
State indicators for positive-pressure ventilation, signs that positive-pressure ventilation is inflating the lungs, ventilation corrective steps, and indicators for insertion of a laryngeal mask.
State the indicators for insertion of an endotracheal tube and the steps for preparation, insertion, securing, and assisting with this procedure.
State the indicators for initiating chest compressions, describe proper technique, and signs that indicate compressions may be discontinued.
State the indicators for epinephrine and volume expander and describe the proper techniques for administration and evaluation of this intervention.
State parameters for the use of post-resuscitation care.
Describe the strategies specific to resuscitation and stabilization of the preterm newborn.
Describe management of the newborn whose clinical status requires special consideration, such as airway complications and lung abnormalities, congenital anomalies, and complications due to maternal opiate or anesthesia exposure.
Describe the ethical principles associated with newborn resuscitation, what to do when a baby dies, and how to support parents and staff through the grieving process.
Recognize the principles of neonatal resuscitation.
Identify the need for resuscitation and how to provide initial steps of resuscitation.
Identify the knowledge and equipment essential to determine and provide positive pressure ventilation.
State the knowledge and skills essential to provide chest compressions during neonatal resuscitation.
Name the indications and skills needed to provide endotracheal intubation during neonatal resuscitation.
Define the scope and practice of use of medications during neonatal resuscitation.
Review special situations in neonatal resuscitation; Translate these skills & knowledge for use as needed outside the delivery room.

What is your Refund Policy? Can I get a refund if I do not pass the Wound Care Certification Exam?

Full access to our Wound Care Certification program is granted and remains valid for a 4-month period once you created an account, registered, and paid for the program. You'll be able to retake the certification exam up to three times in a 4-month period in order to score 70% or higher and obtain wound care certification.

Due to the nature and availability of course content all sales are final. We do not offer refunds.

What is the difference between the Wound Care Certification Program and the 30 CEU Wound Care Management Course?

All programs and curriculums are recognized and approved nationwide by the California Board of Registered Nursing and the California Board of Vocational/Practical Nursing and meet nursing license renewal requirements and all 50 states.

Wound Care Certification is by the SNF Wound Care Wound Learning Academy and is valid for two years upon successful completion of the program and passing of the certification exam.

The differences between the 30 CEU Wound Care Management Course and the Wound Care Certification program include: the 30 CEU Wound Care Management course does not require passing a final certification exam at the end of the curriculum.

You will receive only a certificate of completion of 30 CEU and Wound Care Management upon course completion for RN and LVN/LPN license renewal requirements. You will not obtained Wound Care Certification by the Wound Care Learning Academy, unless you upgrade your purchase to the Wound Care Certification Program at which point you will be required to successfully pass the wound care certification exam.

How long do I have access to course materials in order to prepare for the Wound Care Certification exam?

You will have access to the online portal and course materials for a 4-month period. If you wish to extend your access after this period, Please email info@snfwoundcare.com. If you obtain the course for free with a coupon, you only have 30-day access.

How do I get a verification of my nursing license?

What is the pass rate for the Wound Care Certification Exam? How many times can I take the Wound Care Certification exam in order to pass?

Candidates must or 70% or higher on the Wound Care exam in order to pass and received Wound Care Certification. We have over 90% pass rate. Candidates have the opportunity to retake the online Wound Care Certification exam up to three times within a four month period in order to obtain a score of 70% or higher , and receive their Wound Care Certification.

Do I need to re-certify my Wound Care Certification?

Wound Care Certification must be renewed every two years for a renewal fee of $179.99 and successful completion of the recertification exam

How will I receive a Wound Care Certified Badge?

Candidates who successfully complete our Wound Care Certification Program will receive a digital Wound Care Certificate, along with a complementary Wound Care Certified identification badge, with 2-4 weeks of successful completion.

Wound Care Certified identification badges are mailed out to the candidates. They are personalized with your name, picture, nursing license number, wound care, certification, number, and validity date.
